The Journey Within
Here we are, in the midst of a journey — marching towards the next stop, knowingly or unknowingly, willingly or unwillingly. By our choice, or by the virtue of choices we made earlier.
You need not worry about the past — it’s already done, already lived. It isn’t easy to let it go, but here’s the catch: if you keep living your past in the present, your future will only replicate the same patterns. That won’t help you shape your journey; it will only hold you back. The road ahead will then feel foggy — your mind unconscious, your heart half‑present.
Okay, that’s the disclaimer about the journey. Now let’s see the bigger picture.
Zoom Out — See the Bigger Picture
The easiest and most effective way to see things clearly is to zoom out for a moment and look at life from a broader angle.
Just like when your navigation map confuses you while driving — you pull over, zoom out, and redirect yourself with the right path. The same principle applies to life. You might have lost your direction, but you can always re‑navigate — by zooming out and looking at the map again. For that, you just need to know the two points between which you wish to travel. But sometimes, life takes us to such uncertain places that we no longer know where to go or what to do next. That’s what I call a state of undefining.
Return to the Basics
Whenever you find yourself in such a condition, depend on your senses — your basic instincts. The essence of life is survival, and to do that, you must return to the fundamentals. Because at such points, the way back is rarely an option. In 90% of cases, going back isn’t possible. In the remaining 10%, even if you do, the things you expect to find there exist in only 5% of those chances — and in the other 5%, you’ll still have to move forward, realizing that the place, situation, or feelings aren’t the same anymore. So, moving forward — with the basics of life — remains the most reliable choice for survival. You might feel exhausted, confused, or vulnerable, but slow and steady growth, day by day, step by step, will do the deed. And with time, you’ll adapt.
The Miracle Phase
This phase may not feel charming or ideal, but this is when miracles happen — if you believe in them. Or maybe, it’s the phase where you redefine miracles — the time to change how you live, reshape your habits, and transform your mind and body. It gives you a new purpose. These changes won’t feel painful, because the pain you already carry will make you stronger.
Let Regrets Teach, Not Haunt
Regrets are there to make you realize your mistakes, not to haunt you forever. Thinking the same thoughts again and again won’t change the outcome. Learn from them. Be polite with yourself. Be kind. Be gentle.
Make sure you’ve learned from your past, and then move on. Stop visiting your regretful thoughts. You don’t know whether things happened to you or for you. Give yourself the benefit of doubt — that’s how you grow.
When Nothing Seems Left
Sometimes, it feels like things can never return to what they were — that nothing’s left for you. But even then, there are good chances of survival. You can still make a meaningful journey by helping others shape theirs. Selflessness can sometimes give you a new purpose and direction in life. Leaving it in the middle is never a good choice when you can still move forward — for yourself, or for others.
